Come join us and share the magic of #Sourdough #Breadmaking!
This is a 3 hour workshop in which you will go through each step of the baking process with Nicholas Allan, and you get a whole load of goodies to take home with you!
You will start by mixing and kneading your dough, adding in a 20 year old #organic sourdough starter passed down to us from Shipton Mill many years ago. You will learn about the proofing, rising and fermentation process which happens over a period of 8+ hours. You will take home with you the dough you have made, ready to rise overnight and baked the following day.
Once you've done your dough, a pre-proofed and prepared batch will be made available, and you will begin the baking process.
At the end of the workshop, a selection of dips and spreads will be provided so you can break bread with your fellow participants, and you get to take home your loaf of bread too!
Tickets are £40 including a take-home package of:
- A portion of our 20+ year old sourdough starter
- Your kneaded dough, ready to rise
- Your loaf of bread
- A recipe sheet
- Baker's spatula
- Proving Basket
Spaces are limited to 12 participants only - book early! Visit the café to buy your tickets, or give us a call and we can book you a spot.
